I have been wagering on the internet or at real life gambling halls for many years. I have learned, the addiction can take a hold of you and you won’t even see it up until you are beaten. Especially if you are on a run. I have gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in only a tiny period of time and at times, I still go a bit too long. It appears you are just enjoying yourself till you make a choice to pay attention to your loss and the guilt sets in, and then you keep advising yourself "I might be able to gain it back" ad nauseam. It does not work. Then you feel sick to your gut and the harder you try the more rapidly you throw away.
When you see that you are up, Remain Ahead! When you begin to lose, do not inform yourself, "well just maybe 1 more" over and over again, trust me, this plan barely ever operates. Say you plan on wagering on one armed bandits, have an amount separate prior to beginning your gaming. DO NOT go over this cap, regardless of how appealing. If you happen to gain, put the winnings in a separate canister. Do not spend your earnings regardless of what happens. After you have played through your original set range, stop. Call it quits, regardless if it’s on the net or in a land based gambling hall, don’t stay at the tables or machines. At all times keep in mind, there certainly is another day, other times. Clearly, this method usually will work for any game that you bet on, be it bingo, poker, electronic poker, keno, 21 or any other casino game.
Remember, gambling is supposed to be exciting not burdensome, sickening work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If you can’t pay for the losses, don’t ever begin.
